Hello, welcome to my blog! My name is Sharon. I was born in Hong Kong and raised in England. Having immigrated at a very young age, I ultimately consider England as my home. Growing up, I experienced, and of course still experience, both pleasant and unpleasant social encounters being a Chinese person immersed in the Western culture. I have seen direct and indirect racism, I have struggled with finding my identity and I have enjoyed the perks of being bilingual and multicultural. Especially as I plunge into the industry of law that is very much dominated by White males, I am beyond eager to document my journey. Thus, this blog is about sharing the lessons I have learned, empowering who we are and understanding that we are not minorities but specialties. I endeavour to manifest my rose-coloured world to change people’s perspectives for acceptance, love and harmony.
